Our first play of the 2023 season starts on June 2nd with the very touching play, I and You. The play is about two high school students, Anthony and Caroline. One afternoon, Anthony arrives unexpectedly at classmate Caroline's door bearing a beat-up copy of Walt Whitman's Leaves of Grass, an urgent assignment from their English teacher. Homebound due to illness, Caroline hasn't been to school in months, but she is as quick and sardonic as Anthony is athletic, sensitive, and popular. As these two let down their guards and share their secrets, this seemingly mundane poetry project unlocks a much deeper mystery that has brought them together. I and You is an ode to youth, life, love, and the strange beauty of human connectedness.
The show dates are as follows: June 2, 3, 9, 10, 11, 16, and 17.
All show times start at 7:30 except the Sunday matinee June 11. The Sunday Matinee show times start at 2:00.

Who wouldn't take it? As the trio swaps stories and Jamie considers the decisions he faces about his musical career and his future with his girlfriend Abby. the young couple begins to realize that this older man is unusually invested in their choices... and the reason he gives them is completely unbelievable. In October we will be performing the Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award winning drama, Proof. Proof is the story of an enigmatic young woman, Catherine, her manipulative sister, their brilliant father, and an unexpected suitor. They are all pieces of the puzzle in the search for the truth behind a mysterious mathematical proof. In Proof, the young but guarded Catherine grieves over the loss of her father, a famous mathematician who had become a legend at the local university for solving complicated proofs, and for suffering from dementia. Just as Catherine begins to give in to her fear that she, too, might suffer from her father’s condition, Catherine’s older sister Claire returns home to help “settle” family affairs and Hal, one of the father’s old students, starts to poke around the house. What Hal discovers in an old speckle-bound notebook brings to light a buried family secret.
It tests the sisters’ kinship as well as the romantic feelings growing between Catherine and Hal. This poignant drama about love and reconciliation unfolds on the back porch of a house settled in a suburban university town, that is, like David Auburn’s writing, both simple and elegant.
The show dates are as follows: October 13, 14, 20, 21, 22, 27, and 28.
All show times start at 7:30 except the Sunday matinee on October 22. The Sunday Matinee show time is 2:00.
Tickets: $20.00 / $18.00 seniors (64+) and students
