Productions begin in Spring 2018

In late spring of 2018 we will be performing Terrence McNally's Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune.  It is a warm, romantic and humorous story about the promise of a relationship beyond a "one night stand."  This play has adult themes and language. It would not be appropriate for anyone under the age of 18.

 

The show dates are as follows: June 1, 2, 8, 9, 15, 16, 17. All show times start at 7:30 except the Sunday show on June 17. The Sunday Matinee show time is 2:00.

In the fall of 2018 we will be performing Ernest Thompson's On Golden Pond. It is a memorable love story about Ethel and Norman Thayer, who return to their summer home on Golden Pond for the forty-eighth year. They are visited by their divorced, middle-aged daughter and her dentist fiance', who then go off to Europe, leaving his teenage son behind for the summer.

 

The show dates are as follows: September 28, 29, October 5, 6, 12, 13, 14. All show times start at 7:30 except the Sunday show on October 14. The Sunday Matinee show time is 2:00. 

In late November and early December of 2018 we will be performing Margaret Edson's Pulitzer Prize winning drama, Wit. This powerful play explores the question, How should we live our lives knowing that we will someday die? The play is both uplifting and redemptive. The play is about a renowned English professor, Vivian Bearing, diagnosed with advanced ovarian cancer. As her disease and painful treatment progress, she begins to question the single-minded values and standards that have always directed her life. 

 

The show dates are as follows: November 23, 24, 30, December 1, 7, 8, 9. All show times start at 7:30 except the Sunday show on December 16. The Sunday Matinee show time is 2:00. 

Iron Horse Theatre Company's first event was a stage reading of the play Good People, written by David Lindsay-Abaire. The event was held in Sewickley’s Sweetwater Center for the Arts at 200 Broad Street on Saturday evening November 12, 2016, and again a week later on November 19 at the beautiful Laughlin Memorial Library (located at 99 11th Street in Ambridge, Pa. 15003).
