Harps and Harmonicas by Linda Escalera

In June 2019 we will be performing  Linday Escalera's very funny play Harps and Harmonicas. Who in their right mind would want to drive Cynthia (a germophobe and constant nag) from Connecticut to Chicago? How about a spunky, tattooed young party girl named Maddie; Cynthia's daughter's best friend. This is a match made in Purgatory, and the only way to save their odd relationship is by telling some deep and dark secrets.

The show dates are as follows: June 7, 8, 14, 15, 16, 21, 22. All show times start at 7:30 except the Sunday matinee on June 16. The Sunday Matinee show time is 2:00.

Tickets: $15.00  /  $13.00 seniors and students

In September 2019 we will be performing Mathew Lopez's fascinating drama, The Whipping Man. This powerful play is about a wounded Jewish Confederate soldier who returns home after the war has ended. He finds his home in ruin and abandoned, save for two former slaves, Simon and John. As the three men wait for signs of life to return to the city, they wrestle with their shared past, the bitter irony of a Jewish slave-owner preparing a humble Seder to observe the ancient celebration of the freeing of the Hebrew slaves from Egypt, and the reality of the new world in which they find themselves. Deep-buried secrets from the past refuse to stay hidden as the play comes to it's shocking climax.

The show dates are as follows: September 6, 7, 13, 14, 15, 20, 21. All show times start at 7:30 except the Sunday matinee on September 15. The Sunday Matinee show time is 2:00.

Tickets: $15.00  /  $13.00 seniors and students

In October 2019 come celebrate Halloween with us as we perform our first musical Scary Musical: The Musical (book by Richard Hochberg - Music and Lyrics by Richard Hochberg and Michael Paternostro). This hilarious musical comedy has all the elements of a classic scary movie - with an added twist- the characters sing and dance before, during, and sometimes after getting killed! Combining a slasher movie plot with a rock n' roll score, this laugh-out-loud new musical melee has all of your favorite scary movie clichés. The audience is encouraged to come to the theatre dressed in costume for an opportunity to win some wonderful door prizes.

The show dates are as follows: October 18, 19, 25, 26, 27, November 1, 2. All show times start at 7:30 except the Sunday matinee on October 27. The Sunday Matinee show time is 2:00.

Tickets: $20.00  /  $18.00 seniors and students

In December 2019 we finish our season with an exhilarating, profound, and hilarious play called Greetings! by Tom Dudzick. Greetings! is a play about the Gorski family; a sweet Catholic mother, a sour Catholic father, and an intellectually disabled younger son named Mickey. Set in a working-class Pittsburgh neighborhood, the family awaits the Christmas visit of eldest son Andy. Andy, a cynical New York advertising type, brings home his fiancée, Randi, for the first time.  In the Gorski household, arguing seems to be as hallowed a holiday tradition as the nativity set, and Randi’s introduction that his fiancée is not only Jewish, but an atheist - sets the stage for this very funny and heartwarming play.

The show dates are as follows: December 6, 7, 13, 14, 15, 20, 21. All show times start at 7:30 except the Sunday matinee on December 15. The Sunday Matinee show time is 2:00.

Tickets: $15.00  /  $13.00 seniors and students
